Hello! I'm Raquel Richter, a Licensed Social Worker at RelationshipStore. I specialize in anxiety, depression, and grief, and I also work with couples navigating challenges in their relationships.

I've always been the person people go to when they're going through a tough time and I wouldn't have it any other way. I want to support others who may not be getting that support elsewhere, and that desire is what led me to this work and keeps me showing up fully for every client I see.

My path to this work has taken me to some unique and meaningful places. I've had the privilege of working with veterans at the VA in Milwaukee, providing Equine Assisted Therapy, and offering specialized grief support through veterinary social work. This means I had the privilege of walking alongside clients through the deeply personal experience of losing a beloved pet. These experiences have shaped the way I show up for every client: with an understanding that grief, healing, and resilience look different for everyone.

At the heart of my work is something I believe every person deserves: a stable, safe therapeutic relationship. For many of my clients, that kind of consistent, genuine connection is something they may have never had in life. Helping them discover what that looks and feels like is what I'm most passionate about.

My patience and empathy shape everything I do. I help clients make sense of their experiences and emotions, especially those who have felt dismissed or misunderstood in other areas of their life. Being truly heard can be transformative.

I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and always tailor my methods to fit each client's unique needs and story.

I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Outside of the therapy room, you'll likely find me on horseback. I'm an avid equestrian and riding instructor, and horses have taught me more about myself than I ever expected. I'm also a passionate reader, with a book always somewhere nearby!

You don't have to go through tough times alone. Change is possible, and if you're looking for someone to walk alongside you through a difficult season, or simply to support your growth, I'd be honored for us to work together.
